Mission: To positively impact lives by investing in culturally competent mental health services that educate, enlighten and empower our diverse community. 

Adoptions Together

Mission: Adoptions Together builds healthy lifelong family connections for every child and advocates for continuous improvement of systems that promote the well being of children.

Mission: We extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Mission: Arts for the Aging engages older adults and caregivers with diverse abilities and backgrounds in health improvement and life enhancement through regular participation in the multidisciplinary arts.

Artists 4 Israel

Mission: Artists 4 Israel prevents the spread of anti-Israel bigotry through art and helps communities and people affected by terrorism and hate.

Mission: Back on My Feet combats homelessness through the power of fitness, community support and essential employment and housing resources.

Bullis School

Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children

Mission: CASA’s mission is to promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused and neglected child in the DC foster care or juvenile justice system can be safe, establish permanence and have the opportunity to thrive. This mission is carried out through the recruitment, training, and support of volunteer advocates (CASA volunteers) who serve youth in DC.

Healthy Babies Project Inc.

Mission: We help the poorest District youth build stable lives to ensure the most vulnerable are healthy and self-sufficient.

Homecrest House

Mission: to provide seniors of limited income with subsidized supportive, affordable housing in order to maintain independence and quality of life.

Hometown Foundation

Mission: The Hometown Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization committed to supporting those in need. The Foundation’s focus and commitment center around five key program areas: Animal Welfare, Emergency Response Personnel, Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or In Need, Major Illness, and the Military. Our year-round programs are devoted to strengthening our local communities to create a more cohesive and inclusive society.

Horace Mann School

Mission: With our diverse, multi-national population, we are both a global and close community of learners. We embrace academic choice and responsive teaching. Our recently renovated and expanded campus, which features a rooftop farm, arts classrooms, and an expansive outside playscape, invites us to learn within and beyond our school walls. International Club at Wheaton High School

Mission: To promote cultural awareness within our school and community and to provide a place in which students of Wheaton’s diverse cultures can come together for fun, service projects, and learning. Mission: Empower youth with disabilities and impact volunteer coaches through participation in free, non-competitive, one-on-one programs of physical activity and fun, supporting the overall health and well-being of all participants

Manna Homes

Mission: Manna offers an array of housing communities and comprehensive housing services. In addition to homebuyer education, and homeownership development addressing the limited supply of affordable units in the region, Manna’s work expanded to create new, and preserve existing affordable rental housing. Manna’s mission and work is needed now more than ever to retain low- and moderate-income workers, and build more inclusive, healthy communities. 

Miriam's Kitchen

Mission: Ending chronic homelessness might sound impossible. We know that it’s not. Learn how it’s happening. It starts with dignity. It happens through belonging. The most successful intervention for chronic homelessness is Permanent Supportive Housing, which couples permanent housing with supportive services that target the specific needs of an individual. Ending chronic homelessness is possible. Miriam’s Kitchen is guiding people home.

United Spinal Association
